Porter Associates is a full service
art consultancy that provides expert guidance on the formation and
maintenance of art collections for private clients. Tailoring our
expertise to suit each client’s schedule, budget, and collection
needs, Porter Associates is able to meet particular demands that
arise in the acquisition, installation, and management of an art
collection. We work closely with clients in art acquisition,
documentation, framing, installation, liquidation, valuation,
restoration, appraisal, exhibition, archiving and other activates
as requested.
Whether you need a few high impact pieces or artwork for an entire
facility, we are committed to providing the highest standard of
service and artwork available. Our network of experienced art
professionals includes only those framers, handlers, preparators,
fabricators and other service professionals who have met our
exacting quality standards. As part of the design team, Porter
Associates also collaborates with architects and designers to
provide the professional counsel for integrating art into the
environment.
Aimee Porter
Aimee’s extensive work in the field has provided her with the
experience and knowledge to aptly address clients’ needs and
objectives for their collections. She brings over 13 years of
experience in the arts to her role at Porter Associates. Her
practice brings together many related disciplines, specializing in
providing services to private clients, cultural institutions, and
communities. Aimee has worked as an art consultant in contemporary
art galleries and in the fine art department of Sotheby’s, Los
Angeles. Through her work in the private sector, she has focused
her skill on working with designers, regional artists,
international auction houses, and private collectors. Aimee has
also worked on public art/urban design projects and has provided
curatorial services to public art agencies. Projects include
program administration and management, planning and consulting
with state and local government public art programs, as well as
site-specific, commissioned public artworks. One of her recent
projects was developing a public art plan for the State of
California’s Excellence in Architecture and Art in Public
Buildings Program.
Aimee currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Pacific
Art Foundation, and is a member of ArtTable, and Fellows of
Contemporary Art. She holds a BA in Fine Arts and Business
Administration and a dual MA in Public Art and Urban Planning from
the University of Southern California.
